The church is currently looking for a full-time Worship (Creative Arts) Pastor to join the team and help reach people in and around Paola, KS.
ABOUT THE CHURCH
Cross Point is a healthy, Assemblies of God church in Paola, KS, about 20 miles outside of the greater Kansas City area. Although we’re located in a small town, we are very modern with our worship, services, and programs and still have the care and intentionality of a church family. Our Sunday morning services have continued to be well attended since returning from the shutdown, we have an engaging online community with our online service, and more and more people are connecting through groups. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead worship during Sunday morning services and for special events as needed.
Plan and organize weekly worship services—including scheduling, song selection, production, and livestream.
Conduct weekly worship rehearsals preparing teams spiritually, musically, and technically for services.
Build and develop worship and production teams—including leading vocalists and musicians and recruiting new team members.
Provide pastoral care for team members and other members of the congregation as needed.
Work with Youth Pastor to develop student worship team.
Create and oversee visual content for weekend experiences—including video elements, sermon graphics, screen slides, lighting and stage design.
Create and manage digital and social media content.
PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS / TRAINING
Authentic and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Passionate about worship and leading others in worship.
Open to and excited about the moving of the Holy Spirit.
Experience in leading worship to a congregation and leading/managing teams.
Preferred: Ability to play guitar and/or piano.
Strong communication skills, both on and off the platform. Team player and willing to work with staff and volunteers for the betterment of the church.
Preferred: Ministry training through a college, university, or other recognized ministry development program.
Ability to engage with people from differing ethnicities, cultures, and generations.
Knowledge and experience with the following: Ableton, ProPresenter, Planning Center, CCLI, Photoshop or other editing software, and at least basic audio/visual functions.
