The North Church Story: We are a mission-focused volunteer-driven Foursquare church that started in 1999 on the northside of Spokane. From day one we have invested in our community through caring for the poor and vulnerable of our city. Though our church is about 500 strong we have a legacy of thousands of people who have said yes to Jesus over the years. We have planted several churches and raised scores of leaders who now lead churches and non-profit organizations in the region. We had a transition of our founding pastor a few years ago and now we are in the next season of our church’s life with our visionary pastor Nathan Meade taking the lead.
Why our Next Generation Pastors Are Critical: We are a church all about disciple-making within families. Kids and youth are the future of any healthy church and the kids and youth we help disciple today will be the leaders of our culture in 2025-2050. This Next Generation Pastor role is critical to helping us fulfill the vision of North Church. You will be co-leading and co-overseeing, with another Next-Gen Pastor, the Kid’s & Youth (Next Gen) Department in a comprehensive vision to all kids and their parents.

The Ideal Candidate: This role needs a person who has proven capabilities in leadership, administration, and teaching. The candidate needs to be decisive, directive, inspiring, collaborative, and know how to have a little fun. You will receive training and assistance although you also need to be a self-starter who is self-directed and can stay on mission without the need of a lot of oversight. She/he also needs to have a huge heart for kids of all ages (Preschool-High School) and their families. Because this is a pastoral role we need the candidate to have a bachelor’s degree, and proven theological proficiency whether obtained via formal or by local church equipping. You will need a proven background leading within kids or youth ministry in a local church and preferably have the recommendation of the lead pastor of the church you were committed to and trained in.
What It’s Like To Be On Our Staff
We are a healthy staff of 10 (5 full-time and 5 part-time) men and women single and married mostly under age 40. Our staff ranges between those who have been here a couple of years up to over 20 years. Our staff values emotional, mental, and spiritual health and we value authentic relationships, creativity, and teamwork. We are a Jesus-loving, mission-minded, energetic staff to be a part of.

Mid-week Jr./Sr. High Youth Ministry
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-time with Medical/Dental/Vision Benefits, 6 weeks of PTO, and time off to start and earn up to 8 weeks off. We allow for flexibility in the schedule with a competitive church salary TBD based on prior experience and educational background.
