The Goal of Connection: growing disciples of Jesus Christ by building authentic community
Lead a discipleship ministry that helps to connect people from where they are at and move them toward Christian maturity and ministry.
Oversee the ministry areas that make every member, regular attender and visitor feel welcome and connected to authentic community in Christ at LivingWaters.
Champion the value of connection at LW – connecting people to Christ and to one another in the church body.
Provide energetic leadership by encouraging, equipping and empowering directors and volunteers who lead various connection and care ministries.
Help create a sense of community, care and discipleship for all people in our church family.
Be willing to become a member of LivingWaters.
This position is full time and falls under the supervision of the Lead Pastor.
A vibrant, mature, and growing walk with Jesus Christ, displaying the qualities of an Elder as
described in 1 Timothy 3:1-6 and Titus 1:6-9
A demonstrated evidence of gifting in shepherding, discipleship, connection and teaching
A person who is primarily people-oriented with good relational skills who is able to make, build, and
keep strong relationships within the church.
Demonstrated experience in small group ministries for a variety of age groups.
Experience in recruiting and mobilizing volunteers for connecting and small group leadership.
Value an inter-generational and multi-cultural approach to ministry.

Oversee the connecting aspects of adult, children, youth and intergenerational ministries.
Recruit, equip, coach and empower leaders to fulfill the purpose of each small group ministry.
Facilitate the inclusion of a diverse group of people into small groups and connecting ministries.
Personally lead a small group as one vehicle for raising up new leaders.
Oversee the connection of new people from first contact through stages of involvement.
Lead ministry teams in the process of helping everyone in the church family come to full participation
in the community life of our church so they are using their gifts in ministry & ministered to as needed.
Participate in all regular church services and church-wide events.
Regular involvement in our Celebration ministries-worship services.
Participate in visitation responsibilities for the hospitalized and homebound in our church community.
Coordinate with the Pastor to follow-up on guests for the purpose of connecting them with others.
Maintain regular office hours; attend regular staff and leadership team meetings.
Be available for other pastoral care and miscellaneous ministry tasks as assigned.
Compensation: this position would be commensurate with experience, education and qualifications

Time off: 2 weeks for personal vacation; an additional 2 Sundays for conferences or church visits
