Our name says a lot about our mission! We are a church where generations are leading generations to the cross. His Kingdom is our culture. Children are a main focus at Legacy Church.


Legacy Church is in the beautiful city of Rome, GA. In March, we celebrated 2 years of ministry. We average 300 in attendance on Sunday mornings. Our Children’s Ministry ministers to 50-60 children per Sunday, and has a dynamic team of 40 adults that are ready to impact futures. With the growth of young families and children, we desire to hire someone that not only can provide education and create environments for our children to experience the presence of God, but also pastor these children/families throughout the week as they experience life. Children are not only our future, they are our now!


Job Overview:

This pastor is directly responsible for leading the ministry of Legacy Kids, Arrows, and Quivers. Responsibilities include overseeing all Sunday morning children ministries, coordinating midweek children ministries, and organizing events (Easter, Christmas, VBS, etc). This pastor will report directly to the Lead Pastor.

-Live a lifestyle that is in accordance to The Bible

-Have a calling and desire to work with children

-Will continue to grow with Bible reading, worship, conferences, and other resources

-Should reflect Legacy Church well in the home, on the job, and marketplace


Job Responsibilities:

-Recruit and develop leaders

-Create weekly schedules in Planning Center

-Fill cancelations and substitutions

-Organize and hold regular meetings with Children’s Ministry Board

-Follow Up with possible new team members

-Follow Up with first time guests

-Run and maintain background checks

-Communicate to volunteers in a timely manner (assignments, curriculum, etc.)

-Develop regularly scheduled special events

-Coordinate childcare for Wednesday Night / Special Services

-Utilize the Orange Curriculum to execute creative, exciting themes

-Volunteer trainings

-Ensure safety for all ages

-When absent, ensure volunteers are fully prepared


Communication:

-Will report directly to the Lead Pastor

-Communicates well with volunteers on a regular basis

-Invest in friendships with people at Legacy Church

Pastoral Duties:

-Assist in the assimilation of new families

-Pastor children and volunteers in times of need (sickness, death, absence, etc.)

-Connect with families outside of Sunday mornings

-Be exemplary in service and giving

-Help coordinate Child / Family Dedications
