Children's Director

Gateway Community Church in South Riding, VA is in search of a Children’s Director to lead their KidzTown ministry that includes birth-fifth grade. Located just outside Washington, DC, Gateway Community is a medium-sized church committed to drawing others into authentic Christian community by encouraging people to grow UP towards God in worship, IN towards others in community, and OUT towards the world in service.

What you’ll be doing: 

• Providing vision, direction, oversight, and development for children’s ministry from birth through 5th grade
• Help create a plan of re-gathering with plans to support both online and inperson ministries
• Recruit and connect with volunteers to establish a team and build relationships
• Be known and loved by elementary kids
• Minister to families and aid in connecting what happens on the weekend with what happens at home
• Create an awareness of the Kidz Town ministry in the community

Skills you’ll need to have:

• Proven track record in recruiting and developing volunteers 
• Innovation and creativity 
• Comfortable with technology
• Experience in a church with 200+ kids
• Experience supervising staff and volunteers
• Bachelor's degree
• Familiarity and prior experience with Planning Center, ProPresenter as well as previous video/livestream services experience would be a plus
