ABOUT THIS ROLE

The role of the Worship/Creative Pastor is critical in not only leading the creative process of the weekend services, but even more importantly in developing leaders throughout the church. This role works collaboratively with the staff and leadership of Connection Church Rincon and reports directly to the Lead Pastor.

Connection Music

The Worship/Creative Pastor of Connection Church Rincon will also be part of the Connection Music team. The vision for Connection Music came from the desire to write and sing songs that glorify Jesus. Releasing albums with songs mostly written by pastors and songwriters within Connection Church, these songs convey our great need for a Savior and the need to worship Him with every area of our lives.

Connection Music is more than a group of worship leaders releasing albums. Our hope is to be a resource for the “Church” and equip those who want to use these songs, chord charts, and tracks.

Qualifications and Expectations:

  • Profess and demonstrate a passionate and deep faith in Jesus Christ.
  • Have a heart to see people connected to a growing relationship with Jesus.
  • Ability to lead a team and congregation in Worship.
  • Teachable, self-motivated, and able to work independently and efficiently.
  • Able to work well in a team environment effectively.
  • Outgoing personality with the ability to lead others.
  • 2-3 years’ experience desired.
  • Have the ability to raise-up leaders and cast vision effectively.
  • Commitment to making disciple-making disciples.
  • Evidence of personal spiritual growth and a healthy lifestyle.
  • Commitment to excellence and creativity.
  • More concern with leadership development than singing.
  • Model standards and expectations of leaders within Connection Church including:
  • Heart and Soul (member) at Connection Church and attending regularly.
  • Tithing at least 10%.
  • Participation in a Connect Group.
  • Satisfactory completion of felony statement/background check.

Responsibilities:

  • Reports directly to the Lead Pastor.
  • Meet monthly with Lead Pastor for encouragement, support and sharing vision for the worship/ production area of the church.
  • Shepherd the worship/production team to form deep relationships with Jesus and with each other.
  • Follow and support all vision/values and standards in the Worship and Production area.
  • Assist in creation of weekly standards for ministry area.
  • Plan, oversee and evaluate all components of the Worship Ministry.
  • Lead weekly rehearsal and Sunday run-throughs.
  • Identify, equip, and empower worship and production leaders in keeping with the principles taught in scripture.
  • Regularly communicate with the Lead Pastor concerning the strategies and activities of the Worship Ministry.
  • Plan and manage all worship services through Planning Center.
  • Be diligent to always be at least 2 weeks ahead.
  • Plan and manage all ProPresenter software for weekly services.
  • Plan, create and manage all tracks in Playback or Ableton for each week’s services.
  • Manage the worship/production budget and maintain all equipment.
  • Ensure sermons are recorded, saved, and uploaded each week.
  • Ensure livestream/online services are consistent reflections of our in-person experiences.
  • Oversee a team to consistently create relevant worship environments. Stage designs, lighting, etc.
  • Oversee all social media accounts and creation of all digital graphics. Ensure content is consistent and relevant.
  • Oversee all videography and photography.
  • Oversee creation and upkeep of graphics for printed material.
  • Help develop a pipeline of leaders who are equipped to be sent out on church planting teams.
  • Establish goals and objectives for worship/production and initiate strategies to fulfill them.
  • Perform administrative duties such as preparing expense reports and completing purchase orders as specified by church policies.
  • Meet twice a year with the Lead Pastor or Board of Elders for staff evaluations.

  • Model Connection Church’s mission, vision, cultures, and staff values.
  • Exemplify the qualifications of a deacon in 1 Timothy 3.
  • Fulfill the responsibilities required of Connection members as outlined in the membership covenant.
  • Be a person of character that leads out of a dependent relationship with God.
  • Be a high-capacity person, able to handle a large diversity of details and projects, in an ever-changing environment.
  • Be a self-starter with follow-through ability who is committed to growing & empowering other leaders.
  • Must maintain confidentiality related to sensitive information.

Connection Church Rincon started as a church plant and is now a thriving community of Jesus followers striving to live out the Great Commission. The church recently moved to a new location and is laser focused on achieving their mission and vision.

MISSION | We exist to make disciples and multiply churches among all nations.

VISION | God has called us to connect all people(s) to a growing relationship with Jesus. We will do this by reaching 500 people by the year 2026, with 80% of those people living out our four cultures (Evangelism, Serving, Community and Generosity).


THE CONNECTION CHURCH NETWORK

Connection Church Rincon is part of The Connection Network, a group of seven (soon to be eight) churches partnering together to equip pastors to plant, grow and multiply healthy churches. The goal is to partner together to plant 50 churches by 2050.
