Job Title: Communications Director & Executive Assistant

Reports to: Operations Pastor

Status: Full-time

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday

Hiring Range: $50,000+ (DOE)

Revive Church is dedicated to reviving people and places right where we are for the glory of God. We are on a mission to equip and send out every single person who makes Revive Church their home so that they can be God’s reviving presence where they live, work, and play. In 2020, we purchased the 115,000 square foot mixed use center where we are located as part of a long-range vision God had been preparing for us. This purchase allowed us to create The Bridge.

Position Summary: The Communications Director is responsible for monitoring, managing, and performing communications tasks for Revive Church (~50%). This position also provides administrative support to the Lead Pastor and Senior Leadership Team (~50%). This person must be highly organized, demonstrate excellent written communication skills and be able to work effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.

Communications Responsibilities:

·        Monitor assigned tasks and provide timely updates within task management system.

·        Manage/Monitor global communications calendar.

·        Work in tandem with contract communications team to execute on-site tasks that have been assigned.

·        Receive communications tasks from church staff and translate into written tasks in task management system.  

·        Enlist and communicate with volunteers as needed to accomplish communication goals.

·        Create/Edit/Deliver weekly bulletin.

·        Monitor all collateral in terms of branding adherence.

·        Manage all marketing/communications related software/service accounts.

·        Write copy as needed for marketing collateral social media.

·        Manage/Monitor social media posting calendar.

·        Create/Collect posting content.

·        Post weekly and interact with social media followers through comment sections of social accounts.

·        Manage any PR incidents via social media in the event of negative comments and divert to appropriate pastor, if necessary.

·        Website Management

o  Monthly assess information on our website and assign copy updates to responsible parties.

o  Update event information, images, and text as needed.

o  Coordinate with the technical manager to make any technical and/or functionality changes.

Executive Assistant Responsibilities:

·        Calendar Management: Maintain and coordinate the Lead Pastor's schedule, including scheduling appointments, meetings, and events, while ensuring timely reminders.

·        Effective written communication on behalf of the Lead Pastor.

·        Pastoral Support: Provide administrative support to the Lead Pastor and Sr. Leadership Team.

·        Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information and maintain a high degree of professionalism in all interactions.

·        Liaison: Act as a point of contact between the Lead Pastor and church staff, congregants, and external partners.

·        Special Projects: Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the Lead Pastor to support the overall mission of the church.

Position-specific Qualifications:

Communications

·        Working knowledge of Canva, Social Media administration, and communications best practices.

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

·        Basic proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite applications strongly preferred.

·        Photography and/or videography experience preferred but not required.

·        Heart for the local church, and a passion to use communications to reach others.

·        Excellent written and oral communication skills

·        Action-oriented with proven ability to take projects from beginning to end.

·        Organized and able to manage multiple tasks.

·        Relates well to people, communicates effectively both interpersonally and corporately.

·        Bachelor's degree in Communications preferred but not required.

Executive Assistant:

·        Proven experience in administrative roles, preferably as an executive assistant or administrative assistant.

·        Strong organizational and time management skills.

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

·        Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.

·        Familiarity with church operations and understanding of pastoral roles is a plus.

·        Must be available to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends to support church events.

·        Bachelor's degree in Communications preferred but not required.

·        Professionalism: A professional demeanor and attitude in representing the church, both within and outside the church community.

·        Team Player: An ability to work well within a team and collaborate with church staff, volunteers, and members.

·        Worship Participation: Regular attendance and active participation in church worship services and activities.

Additional Position Information:

Depending on the experience, qualifications, flexibility and interest of candidates applying for this role and the Connections Director role (link here), the functions of the two roles may be combined differently and/or in a part time manner. If the duties and responsibilities of this role and the Connections Director role are combined differently and in a way that results in a part-time position, compensation will be adjusted to reflect an equivalent hourly rate.

The Vision for The Bridge is the peace and prosperity of our city through a community in which motivated individuals and families have practical access to the resources they need to thrive. The concept for The Bridge is to create a purpose-driven ecosystem designed to 1) offer mission-driven organizations an affordable, attractive, collaborative location to deliver services to the community, and 2) provide the community with access to a variety of resources and services aimed at helping vulnerable and motivated individuals/families transcend poverty — all in a convenient, inviting, single physical location. Current Bridge partners include Lionheart Children’s Academy, Global Thrift, Haven’s Hope, Packs of Hope, Colorado Foundation for Conductive Education, the Primary Purpose Club, and a Food Pantry. Future Bridge partners include CrossPurpose (workforce development) and BeyondHome (affordable housing for hard-working families leading to self-reliance). The Bridge will add more partners as the community invites it to help provide additional services and based in part on information gathered by the Bridge Reference Director.
