Job Description
The senior pastor will be responsible for leading the church to function as a New Testament Church. The senior pastor will lead the congregation, the organizations, and the church staff to perform their tasks. The senior pastor will lead pastoral ministries, and as such will work with the deacons and church staff to: a) lead the church in the achievement of its mission, b) proclaim the gospel to believers and unbelievers, and c) care for the church's members and other persons in the community. Some examples of the duties and responsibilities of the senior pastor include, but are not limited to: a) conducting Sunday morning / evening and Wednesday evening worship services, b) leading other church meetings / gatherings, c) perform baptisms, marriage ceremonies and funeral services, d) make hospital visits time permitting, e) keep the church membership timely and appropriately informed on church matters, and f) provide spiritual and individual / family counseling.

Senior Pastor: The senior pastor must meet the qualifications identified in the Biblical passages commonly recognized as "qualifications for elders": Titus 1.5-9; 1 Tim 3.1-7, etc. The senior pastor must subscribe to and uphold the doctrines contained in the Baptist Faith and Message (2000). He must be a baptized believer in Jesus Christ. He must be a member in good standing in a Like-minded Church. He must be or become a member of Harrison Hills Baptist Church. He must be recommended by a pastor of a Like-minded Church. He must be adequately educated, and be spiritually and emotionally mature to lead, preach and meet the duties and responsibilities of Harrison Hills Baptist Church.
