Job Description

We are looking for someone to take our family ministries to the next level. Our NextGen Director would be in charge of overseeing all aspects of the church’s family ministries, from infants to students. This involves recruiting and managing volunteers, planning and preparing curriculum, investing in parents and families, and organizing ministry logistics, such as scheduling Planning Center requests, updating our personnel database, training new volunteers, and orchestrating special Sunday morning events. This individual will also oversee certain systems, such as a system for visitor follow-up, reaching out to families who have been infrequent, meeting with volunteers during the week, and utilizing social media.

This individual will oversee our nursery, preschool, and elementary environments on Sunday morning. For students, our strategy involves seasonal events outside of Sunday mornings.

This is a contracted, work-from-home position (aside from Sunday Mornings), and it is a workload of about 15-20 hours per week.

Downtown Harbor Church is a growing church plant in downtown Fort Lauderdale seeking to redefine the church experience and reach the unchurched in our city. We are a church of approximately 150 in attendance on a given weekend. We hold services in the Museum of Discovery & Science on Sunday mornings with two services, 9:00am and 10:30am. Our mission is to redefine the church experience in the city of Fort Lauderdale.
