Job Description

Residential Care Mentor Job Summary:

We are hiring individuals looking to become life-changing mentors for at-risk teens. Driven by faith, it is through life-on-life relationships that our residential care mentors communicate wisdom, direction, hope, and encouragement to teenagers struggling with mental and behavioral conditions.

Shelterwood Academy is a Christ-centered therapeutic boarding school for at-risk teenagers. Our mission is to bring healing and hope to teens, and restoration to families. Residential care mentors are able to make an impact in the lives of our teens through building relationships, developing trust, and modeling good character. Our teens come from all parts of the country, as do our residential care mentors.

Residential care mentors are provided with housing on our campus in the Kansas City area, utilities included, meals included, excellent health benefits, plus a biweekly pay structure. If you are looking to join a team of residential care mentors that are compassionate, eager to learn, and willing to support teens through challenging times in their lives, you would be a great addition to Shelterwood!
