Job Description
The Worship Pastor is responsible for creative use of music and media in support of weekly worship services and all other church ministry activities. This includes planning and production of the music for weekly adult worship services; overall support of all other ministry areas in the use of music; continuous improvement of music and media capabilities in the church, and understanding of our church culture and leadership. NOTE: (We are open to combining this position with Youth Minister responsibilities, which then could be a full time position).
Qualifications
Possession of a Bachelor of Music degree is preferred. Music skills would include but not limited to: reading music, understanding instrumentation, voices, and appreciation of all music styles. Having a heart for worship is a must. This individual would have media skills and experience suitable for essential job functions. The successful individual will be a strong leader with a solid work ethic, be a self-starter, possess the passion and gifts required to develop and improve creative use of music, and have the ability to administrate as a department head. Individual must demonstrate a stable, growing, mature Christian life, and be committed to executing all tasks and projects at the highest achievable level of excellence.
