Position: Video/Media Producer
Supervisor: Communication Director
Position Status: Full-time, Exempt
Position Summary
As the Video/Media Producer for Epikos Church you will be expected to produce high-quality video, photo, and other digital assets to be used in church services, on printed materials, or digital mediums (web, social) in a timely fashion. This role is fast-paced and will require you to work on several projects at one time. The Video/Media Producer must have a passion for creating compelling content that is in line with the Epikos Church mission and vision.
Qualifications
- Proficient in video editing and photo retouching
- Have an eye for framing and properly lighting a shot
- Knowledge and ability to operate audio equipment
- Able to plan ahead, anticipate production roadblocks, and have a backup plan ready
- Able to prioritize work in order to meet busy production and release schedules
- Comfortable working within Adobe Creative Cloud and other editing and retouching programs
- Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop, Illustrator
- Eager to learn new processes and technologies
Job Expectations & Responsibilities
- Able to set up, move and operate cameras, lights, and audio equipment for in-studio or remote video capture
- Create title cards, end cards, place supers, and select music for video edits
- Organize, maintain, and back up media files
- Capture and edit high-quality video content for in-service, web, and social media use
- Create video content that is on-brand and in line with the mission and vision of Epikos Church
- Complete 3-4 video shoots per month
- Expected weekly deliverables include 3-4 minutes of edited video in finalized form
- Able to prioritize and work on shooting and editing of multiple video projects at one time
- Proposes new ideas and concepts, while also following timelines and schedules for projects as outlined by the Communications Director
- Collaborates with Communications Director to create storyboards, scripts, video edits, and plans for the distribution of content
- Execute still photography shoots as required for special events, promotional materials, or digital mediums
- Schedule shoots with required Epikos staff or congregant talent in a timely fashion
- Able to maintain and engage a team of volunteers to support the work that you are doing on video and photoshoots
- Graphic Design, Animation, Web Development skills a plus.
- Flexible schedule in order to shoot during evenings, weekends, etc.
