About this Role

The Worship & Creative Arts Director is designed for a gifted leader who cares about worship through song and creative arts. Our church is blessed with many gifted musicians and vocalists, so this role would not be responsible for leading every Sunday. This position is primarily responsible to lead all aspects of worship life within Integrity, which involves envisioning, equipping, and mobilizing the musical talents of volunteers. The Worship Director also leads and builds the corporate worship experience on Sundays so that the vision cast by the pastors is carried out in the worship service. This role also proactively shepherds the worship, production, creative, and other technical teams. This role will contribute to the planning, organizing, and leading of special services (Good Friday, Christmas Eve, etc.)

Primary Responsibilities and Tasks

Leading and Producing Worship Service (40%) 

1. Leads worship during church services and special events. 
2. Collaborates with the staff to ensure music and overall worship service reflect the church's mission and vision.
3. Build, direct, coordinate, and develop the band.
4. Recruits, trains, and implements new musicians, worship leaders, and vocalists.
5. Recruits, trains, and implements new production team members such as sound, video recording, and pro presenter users. 
6. Coaches musicians on skill development.
7. Schedules and supervises worship team volunteers. 
8. Works with the staff and volunteers to plan weekly Sunday service.
9. Facilitates weekly musician rehearsals.
10. Ensures music equipment is up-to-date and operational.
11. Works with vendors to maintain and service musical equipment.

Branding & Story (30%)

1. Responsible for stage design 
2. Responsible for baptism and story videos
3. Collaborates with the communication director on branding and video projects. 

Care (5-10%)

1. Coaches, mentors and develops church musicians, worship leaders, vocalists, the production team, and creative arts teams.

Administration (20-25%)

1. Solicits feedback from staff, elders, the worship team, and other volunteers and seeks to grow based on feedback.
2. Schedule volunteers needed for Sunday morning worship, including band, vocalists, and production team members. 
3. Takes responsibility for, and adheres to, ministry budgets. 
4. Manage and maintain the musical instruments and music technology equipment, keeping up to date with developments.
5. Performs other duties as asked by supervisors.
6. Actively participate in all-staff meetings and staff check-ins.
7. Meet consistently with your supervisor.

Your Team

This position reports to the executive director. This position works closely with the teaching pastor and the team of worship ministry volunteers, including the production team, band, and vocalists. This position will also work closely with the creative teams.

Your Schedule

This is a full-time, salaried position of around 40 hours per week, with four days spent in the office. Every other month, on Sunday afternoon we’ll have an all-staff and elder meeting and we have an annual retreat. Rehearsals are typically on Thursday evenings.
