Worship Leader

Our team is known to worship on top of mountains, tall buildings, and in beautiful green pastures; and if God shines His light there, it’s a good place to sing love songs! We are searching for someone just as passionate about worship, but not just any type, one that engages people to move closer to Christ. At Sagebrush, we utilize both Christian and secular music to complement a weekend message, and we’re hoping you’re the person who would thrive in a life-giving church community.

But, this isn’t your typical worship ministry; our mission is to help people know Christ and to make Christ known. I’ll pause here because we want to encourage you to check out a service online and visit Sagebrush Music on YouTube.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead thought-provoking and passionate communication from the platform/stage.
• Create an exciting and welcoming worship culture where attendees want to bring their friends to build community with us.
• Tend to the spiritual needs of a campus worship team, encouraging discipleship and growth.
• Provide sound decision-making, planning, and development to a team of musicians and artists.
• Actively recruit and develop musicians, and help create a vibrant culture for them to thrive.
• Champion the importance of small groups and assist attendees in assimilating into group life.
• Assist the campus team with service and community elements which ensures an uplifting weekend experience for every attendee.

At Sagebrush, you don't need to do this alone if you’ve recently graduated or haven't been in full-time worship ministry, we will equip you to lead others through our team of mentors and coaches who will help you grow in ministry; Mark 1:17 “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor in Christian Studies with an Emphasis in Worship Leadership, Music Theory, or Worship Media, and Technology. Other levels of coursework will be considered, 
• Have a strong vocal talent with the ability to lead well with an instrument.
• Have a presence about yourself, that encourages a congregation to raise their voice up high.
• It would be very cool if you have Knowledge of AbletonLive, ProPresenter, and Planning Center Online.
• Flexibility with your schedule and don’t mind accommodating special church events (they’re so fun, we promise.)
• Have a natural ability to connect quickly, and encourage people to come worship with us.

Sagebrush is a church with multiple community locations throughout the beautiful State of New Mexico, and we have a thriving online community. Sagebrush remains culturally relevant and biblically pure, and we offer a casual environment where people can experience contemporary worship and engage with one another through the teaching of the Bible.

During the selection process, Sagebrush Church’s practice is to provide preference to those who attend a weekly service and align with our Staff Covenant and Church Values.
