Covenant Church of Cheboygan in Cheboygan, Michigan is looking for their next Lead Pastor   They are seeking a person whose love for Jesus is evident and whose heart, mind, body, and soul have been surrendered to Him. They are looking for an authentic, honest, humble, and devoted leader to the body of Christ. This person will be a leader who embraces a vision for our life together and who will lead and empower both staff and lay leadership to serve and support this vision in God-honoring ways.

What you’ll be doing:

• Being a leader among leaders of The Covenant Church of Cheboygan
• Ministering and casting vision to the family of The Covenant Church through a partnership with and the oversight of the Servant Leadership Team
• Equipping the body through the sound teaching of the Word of God
• Providing leadership and promoting Christian education and spiritual growth in people of all ages with an emphasis on multi-generational worship for all congregation members
• Overseeing Care Groups, Worship Teams, Bible Study Groups, Baptisms, and Membership Classes
• Being actively involved in community evangelism as the church leader, spiritual counselor, and ambassador

What you need to have:

• A love for God’s word and commitment to teaching and living the truth of scripture in a bold way
• An effective communicator, a clear and articulate speaker
• A starter and developer of teams and a developer of leaders
• Emotional maturity in interpersonal relations with strong problem solving, conflict resolution, and listening skills
• Spiritual gifts of a Pastor/Teacher

Cheboygan enjoys the best of a true “4 seasons” climate. Cheboygan County is home to three of the largest inland lakes in Michigan: Mullett, Burt, and Black Lake. Michigan has over 6,500 miles of groomed snowmobile trails that double as biking/hiking trails, and Cheboygan County is in the heart of them, being dubbed a “Trail Town” by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. Cheboygan is a great place to live and enjoy an alive small-town feel with easy access to I-75 for travel to Detroit (200 miles), Ann Arbor (228 miles), and Grand Rapids (185 miles).
