Associate Pastor

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Led by the Holy Spirit, we are seeking an Associate Pastor. This position is a dual position that will lead music and the second portion of this position will be based on candidate's strength. It could be youth, children, discipleship, etc. After prayer, if led by the Holy Spirit, please submit your resume along with areas of interest for the second portion of this position.

Function:

This is a full-time position (budgeted package range $55,000 to $72,000) that will report to and work under the direct supervision of the Pastor. This position will maintain office hours, work and cooperate with church staff, and attend meetings as requested by the Pastor.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications:

1. Committed disciple of Jesus Christ that seeks after Him, longs to love and serve Him, and is committed to spiritual growth with biblical moral standards.
2. Able to build strong relationships and work well with the entire church body.
3. Understands how to create an atmosphere of celebration and worship to Jesus through music and other phases/expressions of musical experience.
4. Able to lead, plan, implement, and evaluate effective aspects of ministry along with managing budgeted funds within the music department.

Responsibilities:

WORSHIP

1. Direct the church music program (included but not limited to: Adult/youth/children teams, special events, etc.) by leading musical experiences for the church and by building a team of members committed to worship ministry.
2. Coordinate all music with the overall church calendar through recruiting workers, scheduling rehearsals, and selection of music and materials.
3. Supervise and guide any musicians/technicians and perform management of music and AV operations/equipment.
4. Keep regular contact with any individuals in the music department and ensure proper maintenance of the musical instruments in the church.
5. Plan all services of the church with approval of the Pastor.

Perform all other duties as assigned by the Pastor.
