Job Description for 12th Street Baptist Church Connections Pastor
This position is an expected 40 hours of work per week plus Wednesday Nights and Sundays.
The connections pastor will have flexibility to concentrate on an area of their giftedness: youth, worship, discipleship, sports ministries etc.
Expectations:
1. Weekly Visitation
Visits on families with children in the home.
Visits on Nursing home and shut ins.
Visitation on Visitors to the Church.
Visitation on Empty nesters.
Visitation on Retirees.
2. Bible Study
Attend Men’s Tuesday Morning Bible Study.
Attend Wednesday Night Bible Study.
Lead Thursday Morning Bible Study @ Michelles Mattawan
Create and lead a Bible study outside of these times.
3. Build Processes.
Greeter Ministry (work with Captain Paul Ebersberger)
Visitor Follow Up.
New Attender integration.
Retreats.
Small Groups
Build/Foster Mentoring relationships
Church Security Team
4. Fill in for Pastor when away.
Teaching
Preaching
5. Other Duties
Designed around giftedness of candidate.
Outlined during weekly meetings with Pastor.
As needed.
Responsible to Pastor and Deacons.

A good portion of this position will be directed toward the giftedness/interest of the person in the position. Examples: Worship, youth, discipleship, small group etc.
This position is an expected 40 hours of work per week plus Wednesday Nights and Sundays.
Total Pay package $50,000 per year.
1. Visitation
Visits on families with children in the home. At least 5 per week.
Visits on Nursing home and shut ins. At least 2 per week.
Visitation on Visitors to the Church. At least 1 per week.
Visitation on Empty nesters. At least 1 per week.
Visitation on Retirees. At least 1 per week.
2. Bible Study
