TITLE OF POSITION: Creative/Social Producer – Student Ministry
REPORTS TO: Creative Director
POSITION TYPE: Full-time, Salaried, Exempt
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: This role is responsible for conceptualizing and creating meaningful art to help BACC and Bay Area Student Ministry (BASM) reach people for Jesus. Bay Area Community Church (BACC) has been making passionate, maturing followers of Jesus in the Annapolis area and beyond for 30+ years. The church believes that a critical part of its mission is to raise up the next generation of young people to be fully contributing partners in the mission of the local church.
RESPONSIBILITIES: These are the primary responsibilities of this position:
- Produce graphic design digital and print pieces promoting BASM initiatives
- Assist in creative concepts for all teaching series and related design
- Capture and edit video and photo for student ministry events and gatherings
- Serve as a leader on our Student Gathering Team (creative series, stage design, etc.)
- Keep up with social trends with the younger generation
- Produce content and Run Social Media Accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Youtube)
- Work to build a team of volunteers for creative needs

- Spiritually mature: models the lifestyle of a passionate, maturing follower of Jesus
- Enthusiastically embraces God’s vision for Bay Area Student Ministry
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail and deadlines
- Strong time management skill and ability to work in a fast-paced ministry environment
- Willingness to work flexible hours. Must be able to work evenings/weekend as needed
- Reliable, hard worker who multitasks well, highly organized; self-starter; self-motivator; initiator
- Self-starter who shows initiative and innovation skills
- Ability to prioritize and to be flexible as projects and their importance shift
- Team player who works well with various personalities and has consistent positive influence within the BASM Team and a commitment to unity in the body of Christ among other ministries
- Teachable and approachable
- Has a heart for students - middle, high and college
- A desire to collaborate with a large student ministry staff team
- A passion for innovation and creativity
- Desire to work within a large non-denominational church community
- Ability to recruit, motivate, empower, and equip others for leadership in ministry
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Agrees with BACC Statement of Beliefs, Position Papers and meets all Ministry Partner requirements
- Attends BACC or is willing to begin attending
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Proven experience and proficiency in videography, photography and graphic design
- Proven social media management
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut ProX, MacOS
- Understanding of basic studio lighting and audio capture
- Familiarity with student ministry helpful but not required
- College degree in related field preferred but not required
