Job Description

Purpose: To gain hands-on experience in finance by providing support to the finance department and completing daily accounting tasks.

Reports to: Accounting Manager

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Processes accounts payable invoices into accounting software
  • Prepares weekly vendor aging report, selection of bills to be paid, and reconciliation of the accounts payable subledger
  • Prints check runs and coordinates the distribution of accounts payable checks
  • Answers external and internal questions related to invoices
  • Ensures reconciliation of corporate business card accounts and uploads transaction detail to the accounting software
  • Assists in the processing of journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
  • Assists Accounting Manager in preparation of month end reconciliations
  • Assists in preparation of annual audit schedules
  • Assists with other duties or projects as assigned by direct supervisor

Required Qualifications

  • Seeking a degree in Accounting or other relevant field
  • Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel
  • Basic understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices, or desire to learn
  • Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen with the ability to adapt to change
  • Seeks to gain efficiencies through optimizing systems and processes
  • Great attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational abilities
  • Capable of representing ELIC in a professional capacity
  • Committed to the purpose, vision, and mission of ELIC

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Sage Intacct accounting software
  • Experience in Salesforce

Compensation: $14.00/hr – $17.00/hr

This is a non-exempt position located in ELIC’s Fort Collins, Colorado office.
