Job Description

About Cedar Grove Community Church

Cedar Grove is a nondenominational church of approximately 400+ people that is in the beginning stages of a revitalization. Today, we are recharged with new leadership and new resources to pursue a new impact in our community and in the world. Pre-pandemic, we experienced 20% growth. Even now, we are seeing new families join us and people wanting to express their faith in baptism. God-willing, He is just getting started with us. Cedar Grove has a strong leadership team in place, including a new Lead Pastor with significant church growth experience. We are motivated to see what God can do through ordinary people who trust in an extraordinary God.

That’s where you come into play. We want you to know that we see this as a pivotal role. The right person for this position has the potential to make a dramatic impact not only in our church but in our community, and beyond. Vibrant churches are rare in the Bay Area and many more are needed in what has become one of the most influential corners of the world. We want to be one of them.

The student ministry needs to be re-shaped and reinvigorated. We need a leader who will find ways to inspire and reach students and families alike. We are looking for the kind of person who is energized more by building and shaping a ministry than maintaining something that already exists. While we won’t compromise our biblical convictions we want to discover new ways to make Jesus known together. In an ever-changing and unpredictable world, innovation, focus, and leadership — in the context of trusted and unified team — are important to us.

We also want you to know that we want to invest into you and get you the resources that you need to do the job. We believe in the power of Christ-centered, courageous, Holy Spirit enabled people who share a united vision, enjoy meaningful relationships, and are headed in the same direction together.
