Job Description

The IT Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Information Technology across all NCC locations. You will need a solid technical background to be able to engage in a wide variety of technical issues. This person will be experienced in all aspects of network management, server & application management, and customer service & support.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve the network infrastructure, including servers, switches, routers/
  • firewall, VPN, wi-fi, printers, phones, cables, et al.
  • Determine whether the scope of a project merits third-party contract labor or can be
  • managed in-house.
  • Maintain existing in-house systems, regularly updating them and evaluating their lifespan
  • (i.e. Entry access, IP Cameras, QuickBooks, Lutron, etc.)
  • Provide direct support to staff (hardware, software, printers, Wi-Fi connectivity, training on
  • software, repairing network outage).
  • Establish and manage relationships with vendors.
  • Manage, purchase and deploy new hardware & software.
  • Analyze business requirements of all departments to determine their technological needs.
  • Manage internal and external windows or Linux servers (web, file, application, etc.)
  • Overseeing technical projects in alignment with department and organizational goals.
  • General IT support for marketplace ministries (Coffeehouse, Movie Theater) including
  • networking, internet access, display boards, guest Wi-Fi.
  • Check and maintain backups for critical systems.
  • Steward the Information Technology budget.
  • Manage the IT team including developers, security analysts, support technicians and
  • vendors.
  • Update technological equipment in the company.
  • Implement company-wide technology updates and hold sessions to teach employees on
  • new features.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Desire and passion to serve Christ in the local church
  • 4 to 6 years of experience in IT leadership and management including network management
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or another
  • related field or equivalent relevant experience
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and demonstrated ability to work well with others
  • Ability to be a great team player who thrives on providing timely, high quality support for
  • the various departments and ministries within NCC
  • Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to lead and teach others
  • Expert knowledge of IT best practices, policies, regulations and computer security practices
  • Ability to explain highly technical concepts in simple terms
  • Good research and analysis skills
  • Excellent understanding of computer systems, security, network and systems
  • administration, databases and data storage systems, and telecommunications systems
  • Great project management skills, including organization, planning, time management and
  • prioritization
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail and consistent follow through
  • Strong problem-solving ability and ability to multitask projects at once while prioritizing
  • workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills – verbal, visual, written, and relational
  • Customer service experience with ability to maintain relationships with departments,
  • ministries, external vendors, volunteers, and visitors
  • Strong proficiency with internet, Microsoft Office suite, G suite, and database management
  • programs, Microsoft server and features
  • Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence to effectively work with staff and
  • volunteers
  • Budgetary and financial management experience
  • A reflection of Christ in your words and actions in your personal life and ministry. You will
  • be looked up to as you model the Christian faith. The way you live your life should reflect
  • the Gospel (Living lives of holiness, purity, and free from addictions)
  • Be in agreement with the NCC Leadership Covenant and Core Beliefs
  • Desired Qualifications and Skills:
  • Experience with a church or para-church organization preferred
  • Experience with CRMs and data management
