At First Baptist Church of Central City, KY, our mission is to have LTE coverage over Muhlenberg County. LTE stands for Loving Jesus, Telling Others About Jesus, and Equipping People to Follow Jesus

Our vision is that every single person in Central City, and in the wider Muhlenberg County community, would know Jesus Christ personally. We believe the Biblical teaching that all people are born into sin (a condition brought on by humanity’s rejection of God) and that God, out of His great love for us, came in the flesh in the person of Jesus of Nazareth, died on a cross so that we might receive forgiveness of sins, and bodily rose from the dead defeating evil, sin, and death so that we might have eternal life. A person receives the free gift of salvation in Christ by repenting (turning) away from sin, and believing on Jesus Christ for salvation. Jesus gives us new life that is joyful, abundant, and everlasting, and we desire that all people would share in that life. As sinful people ourselves, we recognize that we are imperfect, but with God’s grace we strive to follow Jesus and be obedient to Him so that He might be glorified and others might know Him and the power of His resurrection.
