About Longmont Calvary

Longmont Calvary was established in 1955 by Dock Dickey and a group of like minded friends who held to the truth of the virgin conception of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, as described in the Bible and needed to find a new place to worship, so they created one. It is from these roots that Longmont Calvary grew to be known as a solid local Bible teaching church. The focus has always been on sound Bible teaching and reaching out to our local community in the name of Christ and reaching across the globe through partnering with global partners, prayerfully, financially, and through short term missions projects. Today, Longmont Calvary is a church family of around 425 members (pre-pandemic) and attendance of about 450 on any given Sunday. We have a Spanish speaking congregation within our church, called Calvary Espanol. Longmont Calvary has both small groups and adult Sunday Schools (flocks, as we currently call them.) along with an education hour for toddlers on up to adults. Longmont Calvary is also a distribution point to a vibrant ministry that helps feed the hungry in our community every week, called Community Food Share. Longmont Calvary along with other area churches has partnered with the Our Center financially and through sending volunteers to serve meals regularly. If you were to ask who we are, we would say, we are Broken people being made new in Jesus, overflowing with gratitude and poured out for others. If you wanted to know where we are going, we would say, Blessing and transforming lives and communities by following Jesus together.
